ask the experts

Since 2011 these have been the focus of the charity’s year. Usually taking place in April in the West Midlands area, these events bring together families from all across the UK. The Families Day format includes a panel of medical and special education professionals to talk about the latest developments, research and treatment including importantly the opportunity for families to ask any specific questions they have and to talk informally to the experts at various points throughout the day. We also provide stimulating professionally led activities for children and young people attending. The event is growing year on year and in 2018 we linking it with the weekend of activities that member families have been organising around the Day for the last few years. All the events will take place in 2018 at the Whitemoor Lakes Centre near Lichfield in Staffordshire. This is the programme for the Day and if you would like to register for the Day you can do it here – registration For those who would like to stay over on the Friday or Saturday or both at the Centre, you can reserve now by clicking FAM-reservation .
