I am Andrea Reid-Kelly. I am a Special Needs Teacher with a Masters of Education Degree in Autism and Education. I was identified as having Noonan Syndrome in 1988 as a teenager and also have a younger brother who has Down Syndrome. As a result of these early experiences, I developed a great interest in the education of children who have special educational needs. I began teaching in 1995 and have had a varied teaching career spanning both Mainstream and Special Schools. Additionally, I have worked in the specialist support teams of two different Local Education Authorities, where my role was to support staff in mainstream Primary and Secondary schools to develop their understanding of Autistic Spectrum Conditions and appropriate teaching methods.

I hope that both my personal experience of life with Noonan Syndrome and professional experiences as an educator will be of benefit to the Noonan Syndrome Association community.
