We are very aware that the Coronavirus Covid19 outbreak can be particularly worrying for those of us with a family member with Noonan Syndrome and very much share in concerns about the situation. Everyone’s case and circumstances are different of course and that means unfortunately that neither we nor our Medical Advisers are in a position to be able to give individual medical advice but we can signpost you towards some useful sources of information whilst we keep an eye on developments.

Firstly you can find the updated UK Government guidelines here – keep visiting this site though as circumstances may well change these over future days and weeks. If you think you might have the virus, there’s more specific guidance here.

Please note that there have been changes to the advice on using the NHS 111 online coronavirus service. You should now only use this if:
• you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
• your condition gets worse
• your symptoms do not get better after 7 days

In terms of things you can do to try to avoid catching or spreading Covid 19, have a look at the NHS guidelines here . This includes washing your hands with soap and water regularly for up to 20 seconds, using hand sanitiser gel and catching coughs and sneezes in a tissue which you then bin or dispose of, or use your sleeve if you have no tissue or handkerchief.
We are also currently in discussion with Whitemoor Lakes about our Families event and will be sending out a message about this in the early part of next week.
